6 week Intro to Mindfulness – Halifax  UCLA_H_4C

This 6 week program meets weekly for 2 hours and is an excellent introduction to mindfulness for beginners. Based on the signature 6 week UCLA Mindful Awareness Research Centre offering, this program provides insight into the basics of mindfulness, how to develop a mindfulness meditation practice, and how mindfulness can be applied in daily life. It is also appropriate for experienced practitioners who wish to revitalize their practice. Explore how to integrate awareness and creativity into daily living!

Each class is a combination of lecture, practice, and group feedback and discussion.

The format will be a Fri evening arrival, departure after lunch on Sunday. All meals, accommodations, and guided meditations + programming included. There is no charge for this monthly event. Donations accepted in support of 100+ Women Who Care Halifax whose goal is to support  non-profit and charitable organizations thme-and-coletteat work at the grassroots level in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Open to all, offered in chairs, no prior meditation experience necessary. Free street parking in the neighbourhood, drop in, view some beautiful artwork and hit the re-set button after work. **Please note: There is a flight of stairs to navigate into the Gallery.
